Joel Finley is an established presence in the Sandwich, Massachusetts, entrepreneurial community who leads local restaurants such as Phatty’s, a taco eatery, and the casual, pets and kids-friendly burger and BBQ spot Off the Grid. In 2019, Joel Finley partnered with a longtime business associate to resurrect the Ice Cream Sandwich, an iconic business that has been treasured by generations of local residents. Having been coached on business operations by the late owner while in high school, he symbolically received family recipes from the founder’s daughter on opening day.

Mr. Finley is also active in the energy brokerage industry and has served as CEO of Energy Auction House since 2013. The company actively sources and delivers energy to consumers across the country, with its platform emphasizing the use of renewables such as solar. He manages all aspects of daily operations and is up-to-date on technologies such as EV charging and battery storage.

One of Mr. Finley’s longstanding passions is boating and fishing, and he has won a trio of fishing tournaments in the Virgin Islands over the years. His work as a tuna spotter has been featured on the National Geographic production Wicked Tuna (accessible on YouTube).
